Tuesday, May 11th, 2010Breastfeeding with a Momzelle nursing top on Dragons’ Den
Friday, March 5th, 2010First of all, I want to thank you all for your amazing support. I have received an overwhelming response after my apparition on the Dragons’ Den show on CBC Wednesday March 3rd 2010 and this has proven to be extremely positive and encouraging. I am really glad that they chose to present both breastfeeding and the Momzelle nursing tops in a positive light.
Erin, the mom who was breastfeeding on TV, in front of millions, did an amazing job, and so did her very cute baby (now almost a year old, can you believe it?).
I am super proud and I want to say that all this would not have been possible without the help and love of my brother and business partner Vincent Poirier, who has encouraged, supported and worked with me since the very beginning of Momzelle.
Nothing makes me happier than knowing that our nursing clothing business inspires and empowers other women.
On Monday, March 8th, the National Post will publish an article following-up on the deal I made with Brett Wilson. A photographer came to the office yesterday and took a few pictures. I was so busy when he arrived that I did not even take the time to look at myself in the mirror! I wonder what the picture will look like… Natural, that’s for sure!
NOTE: the article was published, here is a link to it.
Also, here is a little article that I wrote for the Yummy Mummy Club, describing how I felt a few days before the airing of the episode.
Award-winning Momzelle on T.V.
Tuesday, November 24th, 2009At the Impact Gala on Friday, Christine Poirier was awarded the Impact Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award. A great honour and lots of fun ! Thank you to all the Impact team for organizing such a great event, and many thanks to Impact’ sponsors for making it possible.

Christine Poirier receives the Impact Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award (30 and under) from the hands of Ann Kaplan, the CEO of Medicard
Momzelle co-founder is a finalist for the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award
Friday, November 6th, 2009I usually do not like to sing my own praise, but this is not only good news for me, it is also very good for Vincent who does half the work with me. I recently was told that I am a finalist to receive the prestigious Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Impact Entrepreneuship group, which focuses on entrepreneurs who are 30 and under.
Momzelle is my little baby, I am very glad that is growing well and whether I win or not does not really matter: I am very proud !!!
Breastfeeding on TV : Momzelle at the Dragons’ Den CBC Show
Thursday, May 7th, 2009This is SO exciting. This morning I pitched Momzelle to a national canadian TV program, the Dragons’ Den. We do not know if the segment will be aired or not this Fall, but we hope it will ! My friend Erin was there with me, breastfeeding her 5 week old baby with the Momzelle turtleneck in front of what could possibly be one million viewers. I think this can do a lot of good for breastfeeding in Canada, as it really helps to normalize breastfeeding in public. How more public can it be than in front of one million viewers ?
This reality TV show is about new business owners trying to get investment from rich and successful entrepreneurs. To know the outcome of my pitch, you will have to watch the show !
Here’s the proof Vincent and I were there (Vincent did not speak to the “Dragons”, he was there to cheer me up):
