ALL ABOUT BRAS & MATERNITY
It is most often recommended in the 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. Since all of our bras are designed to grow with you through your pregnancy and nursing, you can choose to buy earlier in your pregnancy. All our bras have 5 sets of hooks and eyes. This allows you to adjust the band as your ribcage expands and contracts.
After your milk comes in and your breast have regulated (approximately 6 weeks post-partum), it is a good idea to re-measure yourself and update your nursing bra wardrobe, if needed.
A good rule of thumb is 3. You will wear one, have one in the wash and have one on hand if the one you are wearing gets a little too much of the let down.
No, our Classic and Lace bra have molded cups, but are underwire-free.
NURSING TOP SIZING, FIT, CARE & OPENINGS
We generally suggest ordering Momzelle in the size you regularly wore pre-pregnancy. If you were between sizes we recommend ordering the smaller size. Momzelle clothing fits a bit large.
We also suggest reading the description and product details as we try to specify when an item fits a little large or small. Reading the reviews can be very helpful in determining if the fit and style are for you.
We have many different styles of nursing openings. Each is designed to keep you covered above the breast, as well as your belly and sides. All openings are easy to use and many are completely inconspicuous, making your Momzelle top or dress an item you can wear long after you are finished breastfeeding.
You will find details and photos of each opening on the product page. Don’t hesitate to reach out by email if you have any questions.
If (more likely when!) you get breast milk or spit up on your Momzelle item, we recommend the following: As quickly as possible, soak the item in water. This is often enough to prevent a stain. If there is still evidence of milk or spit up after soaking try adding an enzyme cleaner. The enzymes in the detergent will attach the stain, literally breaking down and digesting the proteins in the milk. If traces of the stain remain, apply an all-purpose stain remover and then launder as usual. If the stain is already set into the item, we suggest applying a stain remover. The best chance of getting the stain out is to pre-treat before washing. After letting the pretreated stain sit according to the directions (but no longer because you don't want to ruin the fabric), wash the top as directed.
